First steps

Over the past few days, Tristan has been taking more and more confident steps...working them together into a genuine strut. Here is the first time it was caught on film:

Central Park Zoo

Today's adventure included a walk to St. Patrick's Cathedral, a viewing of "Atlas", a trip to the Disney Store and FAO Schwarz. The day was wrapped up with a short visit to the Central Park Zoo (in a vain attempt to see the new baby seal) followed up with a hansome cab ride through the park.

Benihana

Jennifer's friend Marsha and her daughter Emily have been out visiting for a couple of days. Dinner tonight was at Benihana, another first for Tristan.

Jennifer stopped by a store to buy Tristan some yogurt, concerned that he wouldn't enjoy anything at the Japanese steakhouse. Ha. Tristan loved the onion soup, cherries from daddy's drink, and more onion soup.

Baby needs a new pair of shoes...

Tristan went shopping today...and bought a new pair of shoes. His first sneakers. Don't they look cool!

Mark your calendars...we have a date!

Due to some minor complications during Tristan's birth, Jennifer has no option but to have a scheduled Cesarean for baby #2 (affectionately referred to as "the Wog"). After consulting with her doctor, they have scheduled the blessed event for the morning of July 3rd. Apparently, all of the Payne children will be born the day before major holidays.

The "Wog" looked like a polywog in earlier sonograms

We're buying a house!

Since Tom's company is expecting him to work from home and with Tristan becoming a big brother, the Payne family was simply running out of space in their NYC apartment. So it with mixed emotions that the seemingly inevitable move is upon us. Chappaqua, here we come!

If everything goes according to plan, the house code named "the French Colonial" will be the new Payne homestead in late May.

If you know of anyone who would like to buy a wonderful, sunny New York City apartment, point them this way...
