O Little Friends in Bethlehem

Tristan had fun in Bethlehem after meeting Mike and Ellen's kids, Kathryn and Thomas. The trip was just a short nap to the west and the well rested Tristan appeared to have a good time.

Mike and Ellen sent some new toys home to Tristan...including the musical Mozart cube that Tom gave to Kathryn years ago. Something about "payback"

Learning experience

Jennifer thought that Memorial Day weekend would be a great time to visit the Museum of Natural History. Apparently, a lot of other people had the same idea. None the less, the trip was fun and educational. Here Tristan is explaining the origin of the Eagle nebula to his friend Sophie.

Later, Tristan and his dad wandered throught the butterfly exhibit. Tristan and dad survived about 10 minutes in the humid environment...twice as long as the other adventurers in their party.

At one point, Tristan escaped off to the American Indian exhibit for some needed peace and quite.

A Day in the Park

Ok, maybe not an entire day; but certainly enough time to have some fun.

While there is no photographic evidence, Aunt Tara found her way to St. Vartan's playground for brief romp with her favorite nephew.

Happy Birthday, Ms. Hepburn

Saturday was the 100th Anniversary of Katherine Hepburn's birth. Ms. Hepburn was a resident of Jen and Tom's Turtle Bay neighborhood and she was very well loved by the community. Many people in the area got together to celebrate her birthday.

Tristan had a great time at the party. Running all around the plaza, he tuckered his parents out.

TP

Apparently, this is an inevitable scene in any home with a toddler.

Lunch

Tristan enjoys a roast beef sub while lunching al fresco in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza with mom and dad. (It's actually mom's sub)

Giggles

Tom has finally figured out how to convert videos from his Treo 650 mobile phone into something you can post onto YouTube. This should mean we can expect to see a lot more video on the blog.

Here is some video of a giggling 3 month old version of Tristan:

Yeah...I'm cool!

Tristan's aunt Tara came over to babysit while Jen and Tom took a tour of the hospital where the new baby will be born. While there, Tristan posed for some photos, demonstrating his flirting skills.

When we looked at Aunt Tara's camera, it turned out that she had been holding out on some pictures from Tristan's birthday party. Here are some late pictures:
